Note: A project about the eccentric, Danish businessman Simon Spies who founded his business on the provision of package holidays for Scandinavians in the 1960s-70s. The installation is based on a model of his villa in Stockholm, Villa Fjolle, which functioned as a business meeting place as well as a social venue. The core of the installation is a model of the elevatable table at Villa Fjolle which could be fully laid by the servants downstairs before being sent upstairs to Spies and his guests.The project also contains a suggestion for an improvement to the villa’s swimming pool where nitrous oxide bubbles mounts to the surface of the water for the swimmer to enjoy.
